    Our Story

    Our Story

African Joy (formerly Joy's Yard Products) began in 2018, founded by Joy Joseph in Olkeryan, Arusha. Our roots trace back to 2009, when Joy started small-scale dairy farming for her family before expanding and formalizing operations in 2020 to empower women and youth in sustainable dairy production.

    Empowering Women

At the heart of African Joy is our commitment to uplifting women dairy farmers in Olkeryan and Meru. We create opportunities for fair income, reliable market access, and economic independence — helping women build stronger, more sustainable livelihoods.

    93+ Women Farmers

    Community Partnership

We work directly with smallholder farmers, ensuring that every farmer is treated as a valued partner. Our 2 milk collection centers (Olkeryan & Karangai) strengthen communities and support sustainable farming.

    Sustainable Production

Through efficient collection and processing, we minimize waste and environmental impact. We're planning to connect to a central sewage system for environmental compliance by 2026.
